Small businesses are defined as businesses with fewer than 500 employees. To take a look back, 2017 was an awesome year for local entrepreneurs. To date, there are 28.8 million small businesses in the United States, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration, and they have employees 56.8 million people. Small businesses account for 99.7% of all business in the US. With those numbers, there’s no denying that small business owners in America deserve the highest praise.
