Step back. Take a second. Analyze the behaviors of the average working class individual. Notice how any working individual has a system that works for them in their everyday job. This ‘system’ keeps everything flowing, keeps operations functioning, and keeps the business running. The only thing that seems to malfunction in this ‘system,’ is a lack of interpersonal skills. No one seems to remember how to be human; no one seems to know how to express their culture, ethnicity, and simply, their own originality. At the end of the day people just want to be understood, but how do we understand them without feeling anything? Most of us were conditioned on the systematic sequence of the job but never were taught the hospitality side of it. There is more to it than just stating facts, and reciting the same pitch over and over again. There is heart, compassion, and soul if you are doing what you love. Don’t be afraid to show that you care. Simply asking a person how their day is going can change everything.
