March: The Month of Luck

March is one of the most interesting months of the year because it is the start of a brand new season.

Looking for a great way to kick-off the month? How about you treat yourself to a night of many laughs at the Spill the Beans comedy show featuring funny man Darius Culpepper on March 1st. Spill the Beans is a popular comedy show that takes place on the first Friday of the month. Luckily, this month we will feature TWO comedy shows! Be sure to catch Richy Leis’ special show on Saturday, March 23rd.

Since March is a creative month, you will start to feel a need to share your ideas and connect with the community. If you begins to feel this urge to share, then join the New City Players at City Speaks to have the opportunity to share your projects, thoughts and new ideas. NCP Lab will take you behind the scenes of  “A Raisin in the Sun,” now playing at the Vanguard in Fort Lauderdale. This month, you do not want to miss RAW Storytelling. The theme this month is: Altered States. An opportunity for storytellers to share raw and uncensored stories about altered states of mind!

March 15 is World Sleep Day and we are celebrating with the ultimate PJ party! Wear your wackiest PJS and join us at 6PM for our monthly movie night, featuring 21 Jump Street. There will be drinks, popcorn, candy and other special snacks that will have you feeling relaxed and happy all night! Looking to spice up your nights with great music and drinks? Join us for Cafe Jamz; Open Mic for an opportunity to watch local artists perform and to connect with musicians, poets, producers and comedians from the area!
