A diamond doesn’t start out polished and shining. It was once a lump of coal, but with unbearable heat, extreme pressure, and being cut in all places, it is then considered pretty, strong, and great enough to shine amongst others. This thought perfectly coincides with a quote by Eric Thomas: “Everyone wants to shine like a diamond, but no one wants to be cut like one.” Life is full of cuts and pressure. When someone imparts their negativity into your life, take it as a lesson. Thank them for the cut, and keep forming to become what you’re truly meant to be. With every dig, you’re on our your way from coal to diamond. The next time you feel uncomfortable with the pressure in your life, remember, “no pressure, no diamond”.
